Chimp is a compact fanless PC ,consumes less than 20 W and packs enough features for full PC experience, - sharing digital music and photographs, exploring cyberspace, using multimedia applications, office applications, participating in online chat, video-conferencing and sending and receiving e-mail. Chimp runs Debian GNU Linux operating system and is optimized to run from Solid state Compact flash drive. The read-only operating system ensures long life of the compact flash drive and is also immune to virus and malware which normally plague the personal computers. Chimp can also double up as thinclient . Common Thinclient protocols like NX ,ICA and RDP are suported as well as PXE boot ROM. |
